Are VR golf games worth it?

With the Midwest golf season quickly coming to an end, I’ve been considering buying a VR headset to scratch the golf itch through the winter. Has anyone played any of the VR golf games available, and if so do you think they’re worth it? I can’t determine based on reviews if they’re realistic at all or if they’re basically just fancy Wii golf
