A place to discuss any and all things Virtual Reality. I’ve been considering getting a vr headset or smart glasses but am a bit overwhelmed by the options and would like some guidance. I think I’ve narrowed it down to quest 3, bigscreen beyond and pico 4. I would like them primarily to watch streaming services such as Netflix and also possible to play video games using steamlink/moonlight. If I do use it for gaming I would like 120hz refresh rate on the glasses. My current TV is 4K 75” and viewed at around 2.5M distance – I would like something that improves on this experience in terms of the perceived size of the screen, and its definition (though im unsure if this is even possible yet. They need to either accomodate the space of my prescription glasses (this would be most conveniant), or have holders for custom lenses. Also, any other general observations about the tech is welcome – are they consumer ready or am I better off waiting for future models? Is it simple to watch something, like connect it to a phone and run the Netflix app? Do I need to have content somehow converted for this kind of use? Thanks.
