Welcome to Android VR, The home of Virtual Realty on android. Post Apps Games News anything to do with Virtual Realty and android. I have some VR videos that I’m trying to watch. They’re 180 or 360 SBS. I’m using a Pixel 7 and have it attached to my old GearVR headset. I can’t connect via the USB port, but I am able to see the screen through the lenses just fine. If I take a picture using the Photo Sphere mode, there is a Cardboard icon I can click which makes it display the pic properly for the headset (the lens effect, not sure what its called) and allows me to move the phone to look around the photo. However, any app I use to play the video file does show both images, but they’re both flat and don’t move as I move the phone. YouTube videos also have the Cardboard icon but they only show up on the right eye. I’m looking for an app that will let me view the video in VR mode without having a headset connected to the USB port. Also if it can play videos over a local network (SMB share) that would be great. Thanks! Edit: I just tried using the Spatial Media Injector tool and that does tell VLC that it’s a VR video, but it just allows me to pan and zoom. It still won’t show it in the right format for watching via headset. Edit 2: Got YouTube to work properly, but still haven’t found a way to play local files (or over an SMB share).
