A place to discuss any and all things Virtual Reality. Miss-spell in the title: I am really confused with how VR games work and on whichVR headsetshould I buy, can someone help me? Hi, and thanks to anyone who will answer me. So I really want to get a VR headset but when reading online I get confused on how it works, also can’t decide if I should get the Quest 2 or Pico 4 because I read a lot of contrasting oppositions, so I thought my best shot was to ask you guys my doubts, so: How does VR games work? Like from what I understood you can play with the VR alone or with it being connected to the PC, but this is worse because it “downscale” the game, so it’s better to use it standalone? Because I wanted to buy all my games on Steam, but it seems that by doing this I’m just worsening my VR experience? If playing standalone is better, do I have to get a good router? Because now I have one in my room that supports 2.4GHz and 5Ghz, but my internet connection is not that great, also I don’t have a PCIe Wi-Fi card in my PC, I’m on Ethernet, is this going to affect my experience that much? Or I can play with the VR being “offline”? Should I get the Quest 2 or Pico 4, I don’t really care about the companies behind, I just want to have a good VR experience, and my biggest concern is light leaking inside the headset, some say that light leaks from the side on Pico 4, others say that from the nose on the Quest 2, some say it doesn’t leak at all, and I can’t understand if it’s true, or it depends on the head shape, can you help me choose? Can I use my headphones on the VR headsets, or do I have to buy some adaptor/use bluetooth headphones? Am I limited by battery life and need to recharge frequently, or I can go on like 6 hours nonstop? Oh also, here are my PC specs in case you need them: EVGA 3060Ti, 8x4Gb 3200Mhz, Ryzen 5 3600 OC at 4.2GHz
