A place to discuss any and all things Virtual Reality. So I was talking to a friend of mine last night and we were discussing the possibility of a sporting event streaming VR live during a game. He is somewhat in the IT/Media/Technology/Sports business and he was telling me that there were some major roadblocks to this, but I still didn’t really understand the real challenge. I’m not looking for a situation where I’m getting replays, production or even the announcers. I want to just feel like I’m at the game. Our conversation was specifically for hockey so it would be that they would put a camera on Center Ice and I would pay “x” dollars to get the “stream” and I could look around just like anyone else could (and this would be a 1-to-many situation so for all I know 400 other people are connecting). What am I missing?
