Survios’ Alien VR Update

Alien: Isolation is a survival horror game set in the universe of the 1979 movie Alien. Available now on PC/MacOS/Linux, PlayStation 3/4/5, Xbox 360/One/X, Nintendo Switch, and iOS/Android. I am fairly confident that someone must have posted about this here (I joined over a year ago and check posting often) but I haven’t seen it and figure my like-minded Alien Isolation fanboys and fangirls would want to here this. Survios is working on a VR Alien game set between Alien and Aliens in the timeline (sound familiar?). A few months back the CTO if the company said this (AVPGalaxy posted in early October): The latest game we’re working on – we’ve announced it, we haven’t really shown much of it – is based on the Alien movies. So it’s kind of a sci-fi horror game. Sort of a spiritual…well, I think that’s setting a lofty goal, but we were spiritually inspired by Alien: Isolation so we’re hoping to create a compelling virtual reality focused follow-up to the game. Now I am not new to the interwebs and understand some folks will crap on anything BUT I am excited that at least they gave the right aspirational target and hope they come close. I love Alien but shooters just don’t capture it’s essence IMHO. Given the release date isn’t given (they never hit it anyway) and the timeline the story, I’m wondering if there will be any nexus between the game content and the Hulu movie slated for August 2024 release? Anyway – anything that is even 75% as good as Alien Isolation will be the second best Alien game by a large margin 👊🏼👍🏼 Ohhh and a VR Alien using the Unreal 5 engine…. 🙌🏻🥰 makes me drool like the Big Chap.
