A place to discuss any and all things Virtual Reality. I was thinking of getting a VR set because I wanted to play around with it and I am always finding myself needing more screens. I’d really like to make my work easier and more ibteractabke, I find that mouses are to slow for me especially when I need to move it across screens quickly. I try using shortcuts like alt tab but thise can only go so far. Although I don’t know much about the VR stuff and a lot of it is a bit confusing for me. I’ve read the wiki but I don’t entirely understand what to get for what I want. I appreciate any help or insight, thank you! The main things I am looking for are: Hand tracking preferably something that can keep up with fast hands but also can handle small detail movements like fore 3d art which I really want to try Mobile I wanna to atleast be able to take it out of my room Can sync to pc I just got a new one and would love to just have it stream my work or games onto the VR set Can be used for software dev I’d like to be able to install 3rd party apps on it Is lightweight / doesn’t look weird I don’t really like the look of the ones that stick out past the nose, but this one isn’t really that big of a deal, it’s just something I’d prefer Not too expensive I’ve seen stuff go for over $400 and I can’t really justify spending more than that
